On May 31, 2019, Nikki gave birth to a premature baby at 28 weeks of pregnancy. Her baby Laura Anderson Williams “Andi” came three months earlier weighing 1.4 pounds. Andi was put on a ventilator and came off the same day. She started gaining some weight which brought a glimmer of hope to her parents and doctors. After a few weeks, Andi got a blood infection which put her life in jeopardy that she had to stay in the neonatal intensive unit of ST Thomas Midtown fighting for her life.
Holding on to the little hope she had, Nikki went to the hospital Chapel bawling her eyes and praying out loud for her daughter to be okay. She considers her baby a miracle baby since Andi fought all odds and emerged as a winner. Andi has two fur siblings a cat named Louis and a dog named Reggie White.
