Lawrence O’Donnell ( Full name: Lawrence Francis O’Donnell Jr) is an American political commentator, actor, host, and television anchor. He currently serves as the host of an MSNBC opinion and news program called The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell. The program airs on weeknights. Before that, Lawrence served as the writer and producer for the NBC series called The West Wing ( he played the role of President Bartlet’s father in flashbacks).
Lawrence was also the creator and executive producer of the NBC series called Mister Sterling. Additionally, he appeared on the HBO series called Big Love as a recurring character. Lawrence launched his political career by working as an aide to U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. Also, he served as a staff director for the Senate Finance Committee.
