She did hit the headlines after someone called cops on her and her cameraman. The person told the cops that there is a Hispanic-looking woman and a black man with a suspicious camera and a white truck.

She was formerly working as an anchor and reporter for Wews NewsChannel 5 in Cleveland, Ohio from 2018 to April 2023. This is not the first time that Homa has worked for Wews. She initially joined the network in August 2014 before rejoining in 2018. Before rejoining Wews, she was working in Dallas as a reporter for NBC5 DFW.
