Dermot O’Leary ( Full name:  Seán Dermot Fintan O’Leary Jr.) is an English broadcaster. He currently works for ITV and BBC Radio 2. Dermot’s radio career started when he worked as a disc jockey at Essex Radio. However, he left his role to become the presenter of The X Factor (UK) on ITV. He held this position from 2007 until its final series in 2018, with the exception of 2015. Dermot has presented ITV’s This Morning on a Friday, School, and Bank Holidays alongside Alison Hammond since 2021.

Dermot replaced Terry Wogan on Children in Need in November 2015 due to Wogan’s cancer-related ill health. He died a couple of months later. Dermot presented the BBC One Saturday night game show The Getaway Car in 2016. The series was filmed in November 2015 and started airing in January 2016.
