She is best known for her role on NBC’s daytime drama titled Days of Our Lives where she portrayed Dr. Marlena Evans for more than four decades. The Dr. Marlena Evans role has won Hall numerous awards including two Best Actress Soapy Awards in 1982 and 1983.
Also, in 1984, 1985, and 1995, she won three Soap Opera Digest Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress. In 1986, she became the first winner to receive the Outstanding Contribution by an Actress/Actor Award. Additionally, in 2005, Hall received a shared award with Drake Hogestyn for Favorite Couple: John and Marlena. She has also been nominated for a Daytime Emmy thrice.
