David Flemming ( Full name: David Braxton Flemming) is an American sportscaster. He currently serves as a play-by-play announcer for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball and college football, Monday Night Baseball, and college basketball on ESPN. Dave is an Alexandria, Virginia native who grew up listening to current Giants partner Jon Miller as he called Baltimore Orioles games.
Dave started his first full year as an announcer for the team in 2004. He worked along with Mike Krukow, Duane Kuiper, and Miller on San Francisco station KNBR and also the Giants Radio Network. In 2000, Dave broadcasted play-by-play for the Visalia Oaks and also worked as the Assistant General Manager prior to moving on to the Pawtucket Red Sox. For three seasons, he called games on the eight-station PawSox Radio Network. Dave’s rise in the baseball broadcasting industry was fast. In 2000, he went from Class-A ball (Visalia) and from 2001 to 2003 went to Triple-A (Pawtucket) and lastly the Giants.
