Currently, Blaine works as a live announcer for the Los Angeles Derby Dolls, a banked track roller derby league since 2005. He also has participated in a podcast called Nerd Poker hosted by Brian Posehn.

Blaine has also hosted the live burlesque/Mexican wrestling show Lucha VaVOOM in Los Angeles, California since 2002. Prior to that, he hosted a comedic quiz show on the Comedy Channel from 2001–2002, titled Beat the Geeks. This program reached 130 episodes and saw international broadcasts in Canada and New Zealand following its original run. He was also a writer on Comedy Central’s @Midnight hosted by Chris Hardwick from 2013 through 2017.
