Benjamin Hall Injured
On March 14, 2022, on a Monday, Benjamin was injured while newscasting outside of Kyiv in Ukraine and was hospitalized. Moreover, Benjamin has been covering the war from Kyiv, which Russian forces have been trying to surround and capture for weeks. At the moment, little information is known in regards to his injuries.
The vehicle he was traveling in was attacked; Benjamin was wounded in the legs while Fox war zone photojournalist and Irish citizen Pierre Zakrzewski, aged 55, was killed in the incident in Horenka, Kyiv Oblast. Additionally, Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra “Shasha” Kuvshinova, aged 24, was also killed in the attack.
Three weeks following the attack, Benjamin reported on Twitter that he had lost half of one leg, his foot on the other leg, suffered loss of function in one eye, damage to his hearing as well as injuries to a hand. Benjamin also paid tribute to his deceased colleagues
