He was grateful to be reporting in his hometown and connecting with people. Previously, he served in Grand Rapids at FOX 17 as a reporter for almost 9 years before he joined WXYZ. He covered the regional largest municipal government. He was known as the FOX 17 Problem Solver and assisted people who felt they had nowhere else to turn.
