During the privatization of many public companies by the Thatcher government, Shaun attempted to invest in British Telecommunications at the age of 16. Shaun inquired with his father, a Labour supporter who disagreed with the Thatcher government’s actions. Shaun Attwood Ecstasy
He started to organize larger parties with his money and started bulk-purchasing ecstasy in Los Angeles. Shaun would then distribute large amounts of it in Arizona. Gradually, this turned into what the Phoenix New Times called an “empire” with Shaun buying pills from the Netherlands to bypass the traffickers in Los Angeles. Later, his operation became associated with the New Mexican Mafia. This offered protection after a night of partying where his associates helped a brother of a New Mexican Mafia member with hiding from the police.
Allegedly, Shaun’s main competitor in the ecstasy market was a Mafia called Salvatore “Sammy the Bull” Gravano, murderer and former underboss of the Gambino crime family. Salvatore’s crew members attempted to kill Shaun and many of his associates. As a result, he stopped dealing and gave up distributing. Shaun retreated to his then-girlfriend’s apartment. He left off money earned during his time distributing. Shaun has shared a video on his Youtube channel titled Sammy “The Bull” Brought Heat to Our Ecstasy Ring.”
Shaun Attwood Gravano Ecstasy
The video confirmed that Shaun’s Arizona ecstasy ring was in competition with Gravano’s and that Franzese knew about both rings in the late 90s when they were both active. National Geographic televised Narco Wars, Season 2 Episode 4 in 2021 titled How E Busted The Bull. The Tv show featured the Gravano Ecstasy ring versus Shaun’s Ecstasy ring. He was arrested at the apartment on 16 May 2002. Shaun had attempted to cleanse himself of any connections to his previous life as a distributor but was caught after ten witnesses came forward. He served two years in Maricopa County Jail before he was sentenced.
Shaun pleaded guilty to a sentence of nine and a half years. He served the balance of his sentence in the Arizona Department of Corrections. As of 2022, Shaun is banned for life from entering the United States. He wrote about his experiences in prison while in prison. To preserve his anonymity, those accounts were posted online on a blog titled “Jon’s Jail Journal.” This started to draw international media attention to the conditions that prevailed under Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
